Hand Thrown Ceramic Container: Brush marks
Made in London
Having originally trained as a jeweller McLeish moved to London to study ceramic design at the Central Saint Martins. During her time there she became fascinated by clay as a medium and enjoyed exploring different mixes of clays and the qualities they offer. This is something that is still an important part of her ceramic practice today. Each piece is hand thrown using clay that's has been mixed with pre fired clays to add texture and stain to give the work it's distinct colour. With these subtle changes of colour and textures each hand made piece is completely unique.
